I have SLIed nv6600GT, and had similar problems. 1st one I somewhat solved using the approach at: http://home.comcast.net/~andrex/Debian-nVidia/ Although there are some glitches, X is working. But of course I doubt if it's in SLI mode. I have not solved the 2nd problem. I like switching back and forth between X and text; thus if you want to fix a supposed to be a debain bug, you can find a fix at: http://lists.debian.org/debian-amd64/2005/01/msg00644.html This 2nd url solves the 1st one also, but I would rather wait an official debian fix.
