I'm running gcc-3.4 on an HP laptop, and something new this morning is that dpkg segfaults. I can run the 32-bit dpkg with only minor encouragement, but re-installing dpkg_1.10.27.0.0.1.gcc4_amd64.deb doesn't appear to fix anything. Any suggestions as to what to do next?
