I've noticed 1 or 2 historical threads here on Azureus. I'm trying to run the latest SF version 2.3.0.2, but it can't do much without crashing, then refusing to load!
I'm using java jre1.5.0_03. Azureus when first installed loads fine, gives startup wizard etc. However when it first is asked to download something, even an update, it crashes! I've found that renaming/deleting the ~/.Azureus/downloads.config helps. At least then Azureus loads! I have noticed that in the "corrupt" download.config files, that there seems to be some unprintable/foreign characters near the end: (I don't know if foreign characters are normal) A few of my downloads.config files contents: d9:downloadsld9:allocatedi1e9:completedi1000e12:creationTimei1118599928674e9:discardedi0e10:downloadedi72127e15:file_prioritiesli-1ee10:forceStarti1e9:hashfailsi0e5:maxdli0e5:maxuli0e4:path22:/tmp/azupdater_1.7.zip10:persistenti1e8:positioni1e8:save_dir4:/tmp9:save_file17:azupdater_1.7.zip18:secondsDownloadingi0e18:secondsOnlySeedingi0e5:statei0e7:torrent45:/home/raheesom/.Azureus/torrents/AZU44308.tmp12:torrent_hash20:^X<90><9C><97>üz-ì3¯áû^Vѹ,^P<9F>¹8:uploadedi0e7:uploadsi4eeee d9:downloadsld9:allocatedi1e9:completedi0e12:creationTimei1118599689168e9:discardedi0e10:downloadedi0e15:file_prioritiesli-1ee10:forceStarti0e9:hashfailsi0e5:maxdli0e5:maxuli0e4:path64:/home/raheesom/Downloads/Torrents/Downloads/SYMANTECRECO2.00.rar10:persistenti1e8:positioni1e8:save_dir43:/home/raheesom/Downloads/Torrents/Downloads9:save_file20:SYMANTECRECO2.00.rar18:secondsDownloadingi0e18:secondsOnlySeedingi0e5:statei0e7:torrent78:/home/raheesom/.Azureus/torrents/Symantecrecoverydisk.www.Demonoid.com.torrent12:torrent_hash20:7<9E>òT v/^DN2<8A><82>ħð>IÌmä8:uploadedi0e7:uploadsi4eeee d9:downloadsld9:allocatedi1e9:completedi0e12:creationTimei1118600068487e9:discardedi0e10:downloadedi0e15:file_prioritiesli-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ei-1ee10:forceStarti0e9:hashfailsi0e5:maxdli0e5:maxuli0e4:path88:/home/raheesom/Downloads/Torrents/Downloads/Symantec.LiveState.Recovery.Desktop.v3.0-iSO10:persistenti1e8:positioni1e8:save_dir43:/home/raheesom/Downloads/Torrents/Downloads9:save_file44:Symantec.LiveState.Recovery.Desktop.v3.0-iSO18:secondsDownloadingi0e18:secondsOnlySeedingi0e5:statei0e7:torrent85:/home/raheesom/.Azureus/torrents/Symantec.LiveState.Recovery.Desktop.v3.0-iSO.torrent12:torrent_hash20:f80;^MEF ÿ&Ì"DýtÃk[%^Q8:uploadedi0e7:uploadsi4eeee I haven't seen any other thread about this sort of behaviour in AZ, normally for others, it either runs or doesn't run! I've noticed others saying that AZ uses java for networking, so it could be a java problem. Maybe I should downgrade my java VM, although there doesn't seem to be another version for amd64.... -- Rupert Heesom [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
