Certainly based on my past experience, if you run linux and want it to work, you always pick nvidia over ati for graphics. I haven't used that particular nvidia chip, but every chip I have ever tried to use with linux has worked so far, and it is easy to install the nvidia driver using the nvidia-kernel-source package on debian.
