workaround: add in your ~/.bashrc: alias halt='/sbin/halt' alias reboot='/sbin/reboot' alias shutdown='/sbin/shutdown' then do as root: chmod +s /sbin/halt /sbin/reboot /sbin/shutdown wmShutdown is running great for me.
