There is such a thing. But only in unstable.

'lvcreate --help' shows:

        [-m|--mirrors Mirrors [--nosync] [--corelog]]

That about the only docs about it so far. Unless the kernel docs say
something about it.

But even if it werent so new and shiny you still woudln't want it for
/. Keep that outside the lvm and use a normal raid1.
