I'll have to try the beta drivers again as the last time, the one in debian experimental didn't have the SMBus disabled which was causing a freeze at boot [at least for me].

OT: Maybe you know - will Debian Etch (in December) has new drivers in kernel for newes realtek ethernet cards ?
