Hi I have two sid amd64 systems on this box (main and reserve); the principle difference between the two is the main system is on LVM. Firefox/Iceweasel is run in the 32bit chroot and works fine on both. However, following a recent upgrade of the main system, I could no longer access samba shares from firefox even after remounting the shares manually (using mount -a).
Initially, I suspected udev which was upgraded from 103-1 to 103-2 but testing this theory on the reserve system proved otherwise. Both with 103-1 and 103-2 I can access the shares from firefox in the chroot. Anyone got an idea how to troubleshoot this? from /etc/fstab: //zeus/cma /smb/cma cifs credentials=/home/clive/.smb_pass,uid=clive,gid=staff,file_mode=0660,dir_mode=0770 0 0 /smb/cma /var/chroot/sid-ia32/smb/cma none bind 0 0 Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/alpha-root 293M 122M 156M 44% / tmpfs 250M 0 250M 0% /lib/init/rw udev 10M 128K 9.9M 2% /dev tmpfs 250M 0 250M 0% /dev/shm /dev/hda10 45M 14M 29M 33% /boot /dev/hda15 2.9G 163M 2.6G 6% /home /dev/mapper/alpha-tmp 432M 8.1M 401M 2% /tmp /dev/mapper/alpha-usr 2.5G 1.9G 569M 77% /usr /dev/mapper/alpha-var 2.8G 616M 2.1G 23% /var //zeus/cma 111G 46G 65G 42% /smb/cma //zeus/clive 111G 46G 65G 42% /smb/clive //zeus/misc 111G 46G 65G 42% /smb/misc //zeus/tamewolf 111G 46G 65G 42% /smb/tamewolf //zeus/photos 111G 46G 65G 42% /smb/photos //zeus/web 111G 46G 65G 42% /smb/web //apollo/funstuff 111G 78G 33G 71% /smb/funstuff //apollo/music 111G 78G 33G 71% /smb/music //hercules/backup 271G 147G 124G 55% /smb/backup TIA Regards Clive -- www.clivemenzies.co.uk ... ...strategies for business -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
