Hi, I updated my debian stable into testing... My bad, since I have an ATI graphics card... I now can't install their drivers, even if I fall-back with the previous driver version and/or previous kernel-version (stable).
Anyway. Here is the purpose of this mail. It seems newer ATI proprietary drivers expect Big Kernel Lock to be activated in the kernel, which is not the case. Ati installation log will be given below. My question is, how far could I expect Big Kernel Lock to be providen in future updates of the kernels ? For now, I think I'll do the old-job, recompiling the kernel, since I can't find a solution (and don't want to go back to debian stable)...
