Now my site, which runs b2evolution (serving up a .php index file), does not display and constantly generates new windows with nothing in them. (It's like an infinite loop.) Or, if Mozilla/your browser is not configured to handle x-html-php files then trying to visit the site just asks you what to do with the file. Something is obviously broken, but I can't figure out what to change to fix it. I selected to keep my old httpd.conf when upgrading. Strangely, all my other virtually-hosted sites work fine. None of them uses PHP, so I looked around and saw that apache-mod-php4 was not installed. It seems to me that it used to be. So, I installed it and still no fix. Any ideas greatly appreciated (to address listed below) as my site (also below) is down until I figure this out! -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.6.040615 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages apache depends on: ii apache-common 1.3.31-4 Support files for all Apache webse ii debconf 1.4.30.2 Debian configuration management sy ii dpkg 1.10.23 Package maintenance system for Deb ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libdb4.2 4.2.52-17 Berkeley v4.2 Database Libraries [ ii libexpat1 1.95.6-8 XML parsing C library - runtime li ii libmagic1 4.09-1 File type determination library us ii logrotate 3.7-2 Log rotation utility ii mime-support 3.28-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap ii perl 5.8.4-2 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- debconf information: * apache/enable-suexec: false apache/server-name: www.sharealike.org apache/document-root: /home/brian/b2evolution/blogs apache/server-port: 80 apache/init: true apache/server-admin: brianwc AT ocf.berkeley.edu --------------------------------------- Received: (at 269377-close) by bugs.debian.org; 4 Sep 2004 06:23:02 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 03 23:23:02 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1C3Twz-0003mk-00; Fri, 03 Sep 2004 23:23:02 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1C3TrK-0000sz-00; Sat, 04 Sep 2004 02:17:10 -0400 From: Adam Conrad <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.51 $ Subject: Bug#269377: fixed in php4 4:4.3.8-10 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 04 Sep 2004 02:17:10 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 3 Source: php4 Source-Version: 4:4.3.8-10 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of php4, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: caudium-php4_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/caudium-php4_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb libapache-mod-php4_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/libapache-mod-php4_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb libapache2-mod-php4_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/libapache2-mod-php4_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-cgi_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-cgi_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-cli_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-cli_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-common_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-common_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-curl_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-curl_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-dev_4.3.8-10_all.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-dev_4.3.8-10_all.deb php4-domxml_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-domxml_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-gd_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-gd_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-imap_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-imap_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-ldap_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-ldap_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-mcal_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-mcal_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-mhash_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-mhash_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-mysql_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-mysql_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-odbc_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-odbc_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-pear_4.3.8-10_all.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-pear_4.3.8-10_all.deb php4-recode_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-recode_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-snmp_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-snmp_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-sybase_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-sybase_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4-xslt_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4-xslt_4.3.8-10_powerpc.deb php4_4.3.8-10.diff.gz to pool/main/p/php4/php4_4.3.8-10.diff.gz php4_4.3.8-10.dsc to pool/main/p/php4/php4_4.3.8-10.dsc php4_4.3.8-10_all.deb to pool/main/p/php4/php4_4.3.8-10_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
