Hi Stefan,

 

Sorry for the mistake, but the bug is present in the etch. This is a new 
machine that I recently installed with the Debian 4.0 R6 (etch).

 

Thus, I ask you please to see this bug in etch.

I don't think this is severe enough for a backport to stable (and no 
one else has complained about this in the 1,5 years after etch's 
release). Please try to fix it by providing more entropy to your 
system. If that is not possible, you can also symlink /dev/random 
to /dev/urandom.
