Package: apache
Version: 1.3.34-4.1
Severity: normal

Using the RLimitCPU directive doesn't change anything in Apache behaviour : it
doesn't limit execution time.
I used RLimitCPU 30 in the config of a virtual server in order to limit
execution time to 30 seconds, but it didn't seem to work, so I added :
php_admin_value max_execution_time 60 to the virtual server config then,
running a very long php page I got :
> PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded
It shows that the script ran until the php time limit, without considering at
all the RLimitCPU directive.

Apache should respect the parameter of RLimitCPU directive

You filled the bug http://bugs.debian.org/423002 in Debian BTS
against the package apache. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/418266. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
