tbm said on #-devel I should ask here for some benchmarks of the qnap NAS devices with enabled dm-crypt using the Kirkwood hw-crypto module. Something like dd if=/dev/mapper/whatever of=/dev/null bs=4M count=100 (read) or dd of=/dev/mapper/whatever if=/dev/zero bs=4M count=100 (write) would be perfectly enough for me, no need in full bonnie+ benchmarks or something, I just want to understand the order of magnitude the devices are capable of.
