As I wrote: there is a danger that a blend uses RFC822 style continuation lines and silently gets bad metapackages. I had the problem, nothing warned me, it was just luck that I discovered it. How sure are we that I am the only one? Do you really think this shouldn't be fixed before stretch? Come on, we speak about a four-line change of in the code here. Have a look please. It is not a sophisticated code here with many hidden traps, it is just usual ยง$%&/-Perl-stuff, which makes it difficult to fix for a strawman like me, but should be simple for an expert like you.
