I download 4 times the debian iso (debian-501-i386-CD-1.iso <http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/5.0.1/i386/iso-cd/debian-501-i386-CD-1.iso>)

How did you download them? Using what? Under Windows (or even Linux), most web browsers are not able to download large sets of data such as this properly. Downloading large ISO images normally requires a download manager of some sort, or a program that can handle the downloads better than what's built-in to the browser.

As such, in Windows, I've downloaded a Win32 port of "curl" (curl.exe) and use it to download large ISO images (curl -O http://someserver.com/path/to/some.iso).

http://curl.netmirror.org/download.html

and the pages do not refer clear about installer downloader etc. so I turn to MS again.

Please, Luke... don't turn to the dark side!
