I had the same problem as Mark using the daily installer with the gui
interface. I don't think the cdebconf errors are fatal, as the install
seems to proceed after that point, but then it subsequently fails at the
same point as it did for him with a similar dialog box. The error near
the end of /live/installer/var/log/syslog that seems to be relevant is:
Aug 19 11:04:08 base-installer: error: exiting on error
base-installer/no_codename
