Comments/Problems:
<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.>
hardware is asus p5e-wspro with intel bios raid enabled and 4 of 5 sata
drives making up a raid 10 set which is partitioned with P1 an NTFS
partition containing win 7 and P2 is a PV containing a VG which is used
for LVs for various distros including fedora 14, ubuntu, and suse.
Used expert txt installer. This is the 5th attempt with various
installers from current testing. The same result occurs regardless of
whether I create the LV for debian or precreate it in another distro
(BTW fedora 14, ubuntu and suse installed fine and run without any issues).
The paritioner sees the paritions, allows me to assign the debian LV to
/ and sdc11 to boot, but then fails with "The attempt to mount a file
sayatem with type ext4 in LVM VG vg_prewspro, LV debian at / failed."
Selecting to start the partitioner again results in a freeze at 75%. At
tty2, LVM cmds fail to work and cause a hard freeze. Mdadm does work
and does show the expected raid container and the contained raid
partitions. Syslog (partial) shows the following kernel bug:
