Hm, on http://www.debian.org/ports/alpha/sys_types, DEC 3000 are listed as unsupported. Are you sure this is a "jensen" (DEC 2000)? In any case, there isn't really any work being done with the potato boot floppies any more, so you should rather try the woody boot floppies at ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current.
