Dear Maintainer, Please allow the use of existing Physical / Logical Volumes and Volume Groups when using expert_recipe similar to normal partitions. This allows the preseeding of installations where an existing LVM Volume contains Data that should be kept intact, e.g. for multi boot setups, or a seperate /, /var, /home on LVM where only / should be erased. Currently this is not possible, as auto-lvm wipes any existing PVs, VGs, LVs unconditionally, even if the expert_recipe results in them being recreated in the exact same way immediately. This was already requested / asked a few times: https://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2015/05/msg00339.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2013/08/msg00275.html -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: SELinux: enabled - Mode: Enforcing - Policy name: bauen1-policy
