Actually I didn't pay much attention to what the program does, I stumbled upon it when trying to find small packages to test building infra and that was it. At the end of the tests I was submitting these requests for several of the packaes. Being part of debian-installer I imagined that it's needed in some circumstances even if it's a tiny --but perhaps important-- part... there's not much info to go by in the descriptions, and I'm not very familiar with the installer other than as a user. So dunno, I think that you're in a better position to decide whether it's needed or not, I'm happy if you prefer to close this report. Cheers! -- Manuel A.
