Package: debootstrap-udeb Version: 1.0.135 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: openqa
While testing daily netinst debian-installer images with openQA, we see that debootstrap fails: https://openqa.debian.net/tests/272866#step/install_base/1 "The debootstrap program exited with an error (return value 1)" looking in the syslog, one finds: debootstrap: E: NOSCRIPT debootsrtap: EA: /usr/share/debootstrap/scripts/trixie debootstrap: EF: No such script: %s If I reinstate the trixie --> sid symlink, the installation can then proceed. I presume that when removing the "redundant" links in commit 2d3eae91, there was an intent that the scripting should default to "sid" when the required script is found to be missing, but this seems not to have been done correctly. It looks to me as if 73e1b5f9 simply fails to deal with the case where distro-info is unavailable (debian-installer does not include it). Cheers, Phil.
