intrigeri, Can we close this bug? tasksel 3.86 a few months ago has:
* task-desktop: stop depending on xorg packages directly, to get prepared
for wayland. See MR!46 for more details.
gdm3 49 still pulls in some xserver pieces. Debian GNOME has no
interest in not installing xwayland. And libx11 is still a dependency
for many things. But Debian GNOME does not include xserver-xorg any
more in Unstable and Testing.
