No, if the range is ommited the kernel will not probe the DASDs at all.
Then dbootstrap can't get a list of all available DASDs.

We might be able to put comments in the parmfile using something
like "comment=This_is_a_comment" since the contents of the parmfile
are passed to the kernel as command line.
