I carefully read this thread, but of course cannot make everyone happy. Here is what I just implemented in cdebconf text frontend: * 'b' key now acts as with more/less/lynx, it goes back * Prompt is: q to quit select, b for back, n for next page This is a bit long, but I believe that this is not an issue because irrelevant options are not displayed, thus the full list will only be printed in the middle of the list.
