BTW, i don't know about you all, but i do believe that maybe going the gtk/gtk2 way is maybe not the best idea. Sure it allows to reuse the gtk toolkit or something, but i believe that something more striking graphically could be achieved by doing graphics directly on top of DirectFb or something such, and nice graphics like the ayo gdm theme for example.
