Output of lspci: Base System Installation Checklist: Initial boot worked: [O] Configure network HW: [O] Config network: [O] Detect CD: [O] Load installer modules: [O] Detect hard drives: [O] Partition hard drives: [O] Create file systems: [O] Mount partitions: [O] Install base system: [E] Install boot loader: [ ] Reboot: [ ] [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Comments/Problems: Sorry for incomplete report, am not in front of the computer I did the install on. ftp.vic.keypoint.com.au has a full Debian unstable distribution on it. It is served only by FTP, not HTTP. All went well with the installation until the base system was to be installed from the network. This failed because part of the installer changed the APT method to http, which didn't work. Changing /target/etc/apt/sources.list didn't help, so I completed the rest of the install manually (from root prompt). -- Debbie Pickett http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~debbiep [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
