The only issue I noticed was during 'grub-install' where the process hung for a period of ~4 minutes due to probing for the floppy drive (the bay still had the CD-Rom in.) Perhaps putting a message indicating that this might be a problem or allowing the option of installing grub with '--no-floppy' might help people who have never experienced this before (or didn't know to ALT+F4 to see why.)
