Anyway, I eventually figured out and partitioned the disk. Had to create an SGI disklabel on it, as it comes from a PC. Disappointment : no XFS support :((((( The bootloader installation went fine, but, unfortunately, it doesn't handle a separate /boot partition, so the machine couldn't reboot. I had to boot into the installer, and copy /etc/arcboot.conf to /boot/etc/arcboot.conf, then set OSLoadPartition to the correct value for /boot. Everything else went fine. Now this machine will be really useful, with a little bit more disk space (and less noise) :-) JB. -- Julien BLACHE <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | Debian, because code matters more Debian & GNU/Linux Developer | <http://www.debian.org> Public key available on <http://www.jblache.org> - KeyID: F5D6 5169 GPG Fingerprint : 935A 79F1 C8B3 3521 FD62 7CC7 CD61 4FD7 F5D6 5169 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
