From mounting the cdrom I installed from:
What actually matters are the packages you have inside the initrd of the installer. You kan see them by looking at /var/lib/dpkg/status
There you should have current versions of discover1-udeb and discover1-data-udeb. In theory you can also use disocover and discover-udeb, but all other arches currently use discover1 in d-i.
The newest version is -9, but this version should be fine.
debs/discover1-data_1.2004.02.08-8_all.deb
debs/discover1_1.6.1_amd64.debThis is OK.
udebs/discover-udeb_2.0.4-5_amd64.udebdebian-installer does currently not use discover-udeb. Use discover1-udeb which you seem to be missing.
udebs/discover2-data-udeb_2.2003.12.30-1_all.udebThis package is obsolete. It has been removed from unstable and I'm currently looking into removing it from testing as well.
