Hello, I found that Via Tech has linux drivers for its chipsets. WITH SOURCE CODE and binaries for some distros (suse, rh, fedora, mandrake, redflag). I am not sure about its source code license. Unable to find any debian package yet. Main drivers page (lots of linux drivers for many kinds of chipsets) http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2 Video linux driver for Via Tech chipset http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=296#KPLE I tried knoppix and it detected as Trident, but without "real" 3D. The via tech docs does not tell anything valuable info about this. The source code use directories named "trident", so I guess the knoppix detection is right. But do not know specific model. Please, send some guidance to find the right info. the lspci -n output is below. Many thanks.
