Hello, As you (or an other person, I unlyckily destroyed last email) asked me which install I used, I used the release candidate 1 of debian installation software (the one of august 2004, the 7th).
Concerning the detection of my win98 partition, I'm sad to tell you that I mounted it during first installation (mounted as /windows) and it didn't help making a good grub configuration.
