installing from sid d-i netboot cd 20041210
Hardware:
sparcstation LX (sun4m)
Memory: 96MB
Serial console
Good news: it now finds and mounts the cdrom
Bad news: d-i has errors loading the sunlance module, so no ethernet
durring install. Possible mismatching kernel/module.
Other than that, it made it through first stage.
Second stage didn't boot at first, needed to power cycle the machine.
Seemed even slower than before. Paused minutes at a time with no
obvious action taking place.
Configuring exim4 as local only hung the machine, neede to power cycle
again. Restarted stage 2 from the begining.
Told it not to configure exim4. Finished the install then got stuck
giving error messaages about the tty. ^C at the point caused a kernel
oops. (Sorry, I wasn't capturing the output.)
After power-cycling the machine once more, I was able to configure the
network.
