Package: debian-installer-manual Severity: minor Hi !
Each time I install a Debian using Appendix D.3, I run into a problem when using grub-install : Could not find device for /boot: Not found or not a block device. The solution is to use the following command before : cat /proc/mounts > /etc/mtab Here is the wording : You may get this error when executing grub-install: Could not find device for /boot: Not found or not a block device. In this case, use the following command to solve this issue: cat /proc/mounts > /etc/mtab -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686-bigmem Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
