        So what exactly is libselinux supposed to be doing here? This is
 a base library package, and has no influence on whether or not
 questions are asked and defaults set in the debian installer. 

        What exactly has libselinux got to do with needing "selinux=1"
 on the kernel commandline?

        Unless there is some concrete bug, or some concrete action that
 can be taken by libselinux, I will assign this bug back to the d-i, for
 people to do with it as they wish.
