Package: debian-installer

Severity: normal

I'm using this preseed file, and if I put *, \*, "*" in a password field, I'm getting these:

root:bin dev etc floppy init initrd lib mnt proc root sbin sys tmp usr var:13824:0:99999:7:::
root:\*:13824:0:99999:7:::
root:"*":13824:0:99999:7:::

What do I need to put to just get a line like this:
root:*:13824:0:99999:7:::

Preseed file used:
http://debian.ethz.ch/d-i/p

Yours,
Gürkan
