Doesn't sound like a bug; this is not the purpose of the
kfreebsd-source-9.2 package. To build kfreebsd-9 from source, instead use:
$ apt-get source kfreebsd-9
$ cd kfreebsd-9-9.2/ && dpkg-buildpackage -b
