Package: vimpart
Version: 4:3.3.1-1
Severity: important

Hi.

I have configured vimpart as described in the README file (see
attached vimpartrc).

I then tried to test it with Kompare, KDevelop, Kmail, Konqueror, but
didn't see any change.

I then looked a little more and notice that the embedded text editor
could be set to "Embedded Vim Component", but that didn't do it
either.

I finally removed my .vimrc and .gvimrc, but, again, I still couldn't
get a Vim editor embedded.

=46rom what I can tell, vimpart doesn't work. Is there any way (e.g.
with dcop) that I can find more about what's going on?

Cheers,

Hugo

So I think that my installation did work in the end, although:
- Kmail doesn't support vimpart (bug #59481[1])
- Konqueror supports it with "Preview with=E2=80=A6"

I'm not sure about all the rest, but I'm closing the report because I
think that I was just hoping more than vimpart provided.

Cheers,

Hugo
