Package: makedev
Version: 2.3.1-70
Severity: normal
Currently one needs to call MAKEDEV misc to create /dev/pmu
There are however at least two packages that need to ensure /dev/pmu
is available: pbbuttonsd and pmud.
It would therefor be good if one could create /dev/pmu without having
to create all the other devices from "misc", too.
Unsure about the severity. Both packages currently use mknod to create
/dev/pmu which is a clear policy violation but I don't know if it is RC.

Frank Lichtenheld
