Somehow related to #239056
The last time I did
[EMAIL PROTECTED] netstat --ip
I noticed that there were more than 100 lines with STABLISHED connections to my
1025 TCP port. That port was not listed in /etc/services so I thought I had a
security hole. I needed
[EMAIL PROTECTED] lsof -i TCP:1025
to discover which program was using that port.
I think that having such a port open in a system is a security risk,
because fam can have (yet unknown) bugs, but the -L option (from the
documentation) will not work if fam is started from inetd (as it is),
and those connections use a lot of my bandwith.
Is possible to make fam not to accept external connections in a Debian
system?
Thanks
Noel
