Package: mailman
Version: 2.1.5-5
Severity: important
I get an error while upgrading Mailman, when dpkg unpacks the package:
dpkg : erreur de traitement de
/var/cache/apt/archives/mailman_2.1.5-5_i386.deb (--unpack)=A0:
le sous-processus pre-installation script a retourn=E9 une erreur de
sortie d'=E9tat 1
(sorry I don't have the english version, but I suppose the important thin=
g=20
is the "--unpack" )
I founded that It comes from the files in /var/lib/mailman/qfiles/shunt,
and perhaps the whole /var/lib/mailman/qfiles/ directory. dpkg tryed to
keep and convert this messages, but fails. I removed the files manually,
and It works fine, but some admins cannot do that.

| I get an error while upgrading Mailman, when dpkg unpacks the package:
You should get a debconf note before that, saying something like:
The directory /var/lib/mailman/qfiles contains files. It needs to be
empty for the upgrade work properly. Please either flush the queue
(by way of mailmanctl start, then stopping it and redoing the upgrade
when it is finished) or remove those files. Note that removing the
files will lose some emails sent to lists.
