Package: snort
Version: 2.0.0-3.1
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

possibly, it would make sense, to rotate the
/var/log/snort/portscan.log, /var/log/snort/alert and
/var/log/snort/portscan2.log only, if they are not
empty?

$ man logrotate
       ifempty
              Rotate the log file even if it is empty, overriding the
              notifempty option (ifempty is the default).
       notifempty
              Do not rotate the log if it is empty (this overrides the ifempty
              option).

It's a matter of personal liking, so just close the
request, if you don't like the idea :)

regards,
   Mario
