Subject: gnome-volume-manager: needlessly opens a 2nd gnome-cd when changing
disc
Package: gnome-volume-manager
Version: 1.1.3-2
Severity: normal
NOTE: This might be caused by another component e.g. dbus, hal, etc. I cannot
tell for sure what causes the following
symptom, so feel free to reassign it to the approppriate package if necessary.
Whenever I already have a gnome-cd player running and eject the disc to replace
it with another album, a second
gnome-cd is launched as soon as the new disc is inserted, which disrupts the
playback of the first gnome-cd that just
noticed the media change and had automatically started playback.
Perhaps it would be possible for gnome-volume-manager to monitor for the
presence of an existing gnome-cd before
attempting to launch a new one when it detects a media change?
