Hello, the topic says it all. ntpdate has an exteremely nasty behaviour
- it quries the name server, gets v6 _and_ v4 version of the IP. Though
IPv6 is not available (explicitely disabled for module-init-tools) it
insists on connecting to the v6 IP and fails:
10 Feb 21:47:07 ntpdate[10182]: cannot find family compatible socket to
send ntp packet
A similar thing happens when IPv6 module is loaded, it fails.
It may be even worse, I suspect ntpdate to be the troublemaker that
causes the loading of ipv6 module silently.
