Package: mozilla-browser
Version: 1.0
Architecture: Alpha

Quite simply mozilla based browsers compiled on stable with the stock
gcc 2.95.4 on Alpha cannot log into yahoo mail due to math errors caused
by gcc bug pr9164 being present in stable's compiler.

The problem can be demonstrated by attempting to login to yahoo mail on
alpha with mozilla browser. There is a mozilla bug on this as well..
However I do not recall the number. it involves broken javascript math.

The solution is building a gcc for stable/Alpha that does not contain
GCC bug PR-9164. Redhat overcame this bug with a gcc 2.96 for alpha.
I did send the gcc maintainer an email about this, and have not seen an
updated GCC. A broken compiler renders "Stable" broken.

I am using 3.0 stable, and have experienced this issue with both the
stock kernel image, and my custom built 2.4.19.

   Thanks,
        Buck Rekow
