Package: mozilla-browser
Version: 2:1.0.0-0.woody.1
Severity: normal
It might be appropriate to raise the severity of this, considering the effects.
I have left it normal since it's only a problem with this one site.
To reproduce
1. Visit https://register.earthlink.net/cgi-bin/wsisa.dll/sf/login/index.html
2. Select dial-up and hit submit
At this point, repeatedly, I got hung up. There is no response to my mouse
clicks.
I can still ctl-alt-Fn to another window usually (once even that didn't work).
The first time I did this I was able to keep typing on the next screen and
3. enter information (of course, if you're not an earthlink user that's tough)
4. hit submit
and I got hung up here.
Killing mozilla did not fix the problem. I had to kill the entire X-Session to
get things back. I am running under KDE.
When I tried the site with Konqueror I got a message that I had a bad password
(which wasn't true),
but no hang. I'll bet they are doing something only Windows or MSIE could love.
I didn't see anything in syslog. Here is my .xsession-errors:
DCOPServer up and running.
DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Could not open network socket
_IceTransmkdir: Owner of /tmp/.ICE-unix should be set to root
