Hi,

squid-prefetch can't start if /var/log/squid/access.log doesn't exist.
echo -n >/var/log/squid/access.log fixes the problem.

--- Begin Message --- I thought about this, but don't think the behavior should be changed. The logfile is a configurable parameter, so trying to create it in the postinst could be incorrect.

I thought about waiting for a while and trying again, but that may make the error message appear at a time where it would be so out of context that a user wouldn't see it or couldn't debug the problem.

On a system with squid installed, squid should be already running and have created the file by the time this program starts. Let me know if you find that isn't the case.
