Package: lirc-modules-source
Version: 0.8.0-9
Severity: normal

Hi, this used to work for me until a recent dist-upgrade. I'm running
etch, current as at today. When I build lirc-modules-source with m-a,
it builds fine, but:
stealth:~# modprobe lirc_imon
FATAL: Error inserting lirc_imon
(/lib/modules/2.6.18-3-k7/misc/lirc_imon.ko): Invalid module format

dmesg reports:
lirc_imon: disagrees about version of symbol struct_module

For interest, lirc_dev does modprobe normally.

My entire session is at http://pastebin.com/843434. Please let me know
if you need any more information.

Antony

I was confused by Gerhard reporting that m-a worked for him when it didn't
work for me. So I purged lirc-modules-source, rm -rf
/usr/src/modules/lirc, installed the package again, built it with m-a, and
all was good. I wonder if this was an m-a caching issue, but I'm closing
the bug anyway as lirc-modules-source looks good.
