On systems with a separate /usr filesystem, several boot scripts (on my system, 
at least: alsa, console-screen.kbd.sh, glibc.sh, keymap.sh, ntp, wpa-ifupdown),
break because 'cut' gets installed in /usr/bin instead of /bin.

This isn't a coreutils bug. Bugs can be filed against these packages if appropriate. The first one I looked at, glibc.sh, doesn't use cut in its current version, though...
