Package: fvwm95
Version: 2.0.43ba-17
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
1. The postinst-skripts of fvwm95 do not put a softlink from
/usr/share/doc/fvwm95 to /usr/doc. Is implemented for fvwm95-icons,
but could be handed over to debhelper, cause the Build Depend exist
anyway.
2. Maybe the same thing for the creation of the menus.
I have a problem with the following lines in
/etc/menu-methods/fvwm95:
<snip>
startmenu= "DestroyMenu \"" replacewith($section," ","_") "\"\n" \
"AddToMenu \"" replacewith($section," ","_") "\" \"" title() "\"
Title \n" \
ifeq($section, "/Debian", \
"Read /etc/X11/fvwm95/main-menu-pre.hook \n" \
"Read .fvwm95/main-menu-pre.hook \n")
endmenu= "\n"
<snap>
They create the following lines in /etc/X11/fvwm95/menudefs.hook:
DestroyMenu "/Debian"
AddToMenu "/Debian" "Main Menu" Title
Read /etc/X11/fvwm95/main-menu-pre.hook
Read .fvwm95/main-menu-pre.hook
I want to read out this central menudefs.hook file from my private
~/.fvwm95rc, but I have my private ~/.fvwm95/main-menu-pre.hook and
don't want him to read the system wide default. IMHO both lines for
reading main-menu-pre.hook can be thrown away, cause they are read in
the system.fvwm95rc or my private .fvwm95 anyway. Could you please
investigate, if this is possible?
TIA,
Hilmar

fvwm95 has been removed from Debian unstable/tesing because it's
unmaintained and abandoned upstream. Please move to fvwm2. If your
bug also shows up in fvwm2 please file a new bug report or let me
know.
