Package: synaptic
Version: 0.53.4-1
Severity: minor

When I was checking if I could upgrade k3b in Sarge, k3b and k3blibs
showed as upgradable (the icon with a star). The strange thing is that
both the Installed Version and the Latest Version were 0.11.12-1. I was
quite puzzled and tried upgrading the packages anyway. That worked. To
my surprise Synaptic even download the packages, and reported critical
bugs for k3b. Latest Sarge update for k3b was on Sat, 26 Jun 2004
17:18:49 +0200. I guess I can't explain that.
I never noticed that thing since I use Synaptic (a couple of months) and
I verified that it doesn't seem to apply for other packages. So, I'm not
even sure I can reproduce this anymore.

BTW, trying to see if this was documented, I noticed the help takes
about 30 seconds to come up on my quite modern PC. Tell me if this is
abnormal so I open another bug.
